This position serves as the Urban Data Science Specialist to the Sustainable Urban Systems (SUS) Lab and associated research projects at Princeton University. The SUS Lab is the umbrella under which research projects led by PI Anu Ramaswami are implemented. These projects currently include the Sustainable Healthy Cities Network (NSF-SRN) and a newly awarded NSF-INFEWS grant, includes other projects relating to work with the United Nations, work with cities, future potential projects with NSF and urban projects associated with Princeton University’s Chadha Center for Global India.
This position would be responsible for:
- developing & managing and curating datasets related to interdisciplinary sustainable urban systems, in conjunction with the Global City Data project, a federated platform to share urban systems data;
- acquiring new SUS datasets; and
- developing original research related to sustainable urban systems.
This role will be responsible for interfacing with data originating from different sectors (water, energy, food, green/open space, transportation, waste, ICT, buildings), disciplines (engineering, public affairs, geography, urban planning) and outcomes (health, environment, equity, resilience).
