The Graduate School of Energy and Environment at Korea University invites applicants for a tenure-track faculty position in the area of energy and environmental policy. Established in 2010 between Korea University and the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (the first government-funded Institute for Science and Technology research), the Graduate School of Energy and Environment (KU-KIST Green School) focuses on interdisciplinary research and education across physical and social sciences in the area of renewable energy, environmental technology, and energy/environmental policy. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who is committed to advancing the interdisciplinary model of research and education and is willing to relocate in Seoul, Korea.

Applicants should have a PhD in Industrial Ecology, Environmental Sciences, Management, and Policy, Public Policy and Administration, Applied Economics, Civil and Environmental Engineering, or related field, and have a demonstrated record or demonstrated potential to achieve excellence in research and teaching. The successful candidate will engage in graduate education, develop a research program, enhance interdisciplinary collaboration particularly with the faculty members in the technology tracks of the Graduate School of Energy and Environment (renewable energy and environmental technologies). Preference will be given to candidate with experience working in a multidisciplinary environment with an appreciation for, and commitment to, a system approach to sustainability.

This is a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level, but the position may be upgraded to a tenure-track or tenured Associate Professor in case of an exceptionally qualified candidate. The anticipated start date for the position is September 1, 2019. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
