The Industrial Ecology Program at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) is looking for an Associate Professor or Professorin Environmental Sustainability Analysis of Urban Systems. The announced position is instrumental for the overarching ambitions of IndEcol to consolidate its internationally leading role in research and education of environmental sustainability analysis, renewable energy and materials, and climate change mitigation. We are looking for a person who is strongly motivated to advance research on environmental sustainability analysis of urban systems, taking into account the direct challenges posed by climate change (urban adaptation or mitigation measures, green infrastructure) and the sustainability transition strategies for urban systems and the built environment (e.g., novel solutions to improve urban metabolism and reduce environmental impacts). You will also be able to collaborate with experts in other NTNU departments that more directly address sustainability solutions from their core domain areas of civil engineering and architectural planning and technology.
