Material Efficiency, Circular Economy, and Climate Change

We are currently undertaking an assessment requested by the G7 on the contribution of resource efficiency to climate change mitigation. The work is entering a hot phase with a first draft due in April/May. It involves a group of cool researchers from Freiburg, Herzlya, MIT, Northwestern University, Bologna, Tsinghua and a few other places, with a significant team at Yale, as well as the International Resource Panel.  We are looking for research support that can start after Christmas and no later than February, either as a visiting student, or a postgraduate assistant. The work involves data organization and collection, modeling and analysis support, and the development of figures and graphics.

QUALIFICATIONS

The Postgraduate Associate should hold a degree in a quantitative discipline such as industrial ecology, physics, engineering, data science, or applied economics and have strong modelling and programming skills. Experience in data management and analysis using software such as spreadsheets or databases is essential. Competence in higher-level programming languages such as R or Python is an asset. The selected candidate must be able to meet eligibility requirements for work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and to continue working legally for the proposed term of the appointment.
