Certification Program

Particulate Matter Footprint (PM Footprint) Certificate

The EEEA (Europe Environment and Energy Association) works with companies to help them effectively measure, manage, and reduce the PM footprint of their products as well as processes.

The PM Footprint is the kg or ton PM2.5 eqv. value, which is considered ammonia (NH3), nitrogen dioxide, nitrogen oxides, sulfur dioxide, PM10, PM2.5, produced from raw materials acquisition, manufacturing to use (cradle to gate) of product, process, and service.

The EEEA is an independent organization and an established expert on particulate matter footprinting, ensuring credibility and recognition of our PM Footprint Label.

Certification Process of PM Footprint

The below figure shows the assessment and certification process of PM Footprint. The documents submitted by proponent and company are investigated by the selection committee and certification judges. After investigation, including field investigation, a PM Footprint certification will be issued. Finally, the company can use for its purposes.

Based on the PM Footprint calculation results, the EEEA (Certification judges) will investigate all required documents and issue a PM Footprint certification.
